Hungary’s rolling average three-month jobless rate was 3.7% in June-August, up from 3.6% in the previous period and down from 4.2 % in the same period a year earlier, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) said.

The European Commission said in a report this week that Hungary has missed its recycling targets “by a considerable margin” since 2012. Hungary was among 14 European Union member states the EC said are at risk of missing the target for recycling half of all waste by 2020, but the country was singled out, together with Malta, for the most sizeable shortfalls.
