Join us on March 16th on Szabadság tér from 14:00 and participate in St Patrick’s Day parade. Since 2011 the event has been growing and attracting more and more followers. It is a great family day and last year, despite the cold weather, we had over 1400 people join the fun.

Ilan Mor, Israel’s ambassador to Hungary, doesn’t doubt the good intentions of the Hungarian government but expects the authorities to prevent the Hungarian Dawn party from running for parliament. Heti Válasz asked him of the planned monument to Hungary’s occupation by Germany and the joke cracked by Shimon Peres on “buying up Hungary”.

Gábor Czene of Népszabadság conducted an interview with Tamás Fabiny, bishop of the northern district of the Hungarian Lutheran Church. Fabiny was ordained in Erlangen, Germany in 1982. He also studied in the United States. In addition to his church activities he worked for Duna TV. Since 2010 he has been the vice chairman of the Lutheran World Federation.

Media Authority In Hungary Decides On Funding Documentaries & Science Films

Hungary’s media authority (NMHH) has decided to provide funding for the making of 16 documentaries and nine popular science films from this year’s budget. Among the documentaries, Csaba Bartal’s piece analyses the political aspects of the exile of Hungary’s post-WWII communist leader Mátyás Rákosi and the last 15 years he spent in the Soviet Union.
Open-Air Theatre Organizes Winter Festival In Városháza Park In Budapest

A new cultural winter festival will be organized during the first weekend of Advent in Városháza park, with the aim of initiating a tradition. This family event will satisfy an unfilled need, addressing mainly the citizens of Budapest, providing novel cultural programmes emerging from the plenty Christmas fairs.
