Hungary’s FTC Football Player Akeem Adams Dies

Trinidadian soccer player Akeem Adams, playing for Ferencvaros (FTC), died on Monday, his club told MTI. Adams suffered a heart attack on September 25, and underwent several surgeries including a life-saving leg imputation, and was put on an artificial heart. Last weekend he had a stroke and his condition turned critical.

Gábor Czene of Népszabadság conducted an interview with Tamás Fabiny, bishop of the northern district of the Hungarian Lutheran Church. Fabiny was ordained in Erlangen, Germany in 1982. He also studied in the United States. In addition to his church activities he worked for Duna TV. Since 2010 he has been the vice chairman of the Lutheran World Federation.

The video clip below shows the impressive new work by Neopaint, which can be seen in person at the heart of Budapest on Rumbach Sebestyén street, near to Deák Ferenc square. The football match depicted took place on 25 November 1953, an international friendly match played between Hungary (then the world's number one ranked team, the Olympic champions and on a run of 24 unbeaten games) and England.

Ferencváros football club FTC on Friday banned two fans for life from attending football games at its stadium for hanging a flag with a swastika on it for ten seconds at the match against Újpest on September 26.
