According to the numbers, the largest pro-government media outlets lost 54 cases last year – Magyar Nemzet was the record holder with 20, Origo was second with 13. By contrast, Átlátszó did not lose a single lawsuit last year.

The united opposition’s prime ministerial candidate, Péter Márki-Zay, continued to lose popularity in February, with 62% of Hungarians having a negative view of him, according to a poll by the Századvég Foundation has found, up from 59% in January and 47% last October when he became the opposition’s candidate.
