The largest transport and environmental protection campaign in Europe will be held from Sept 16 to 22, with a "cavalcade" of events marking European Mobility Week in Budapest, the city's public transport company BKK said on Wednesday.

Szombathely, in western Hungary, will once again turn back the clock this summer as it hosts the 24th Savaria Historical Carnival from 21 to 24 August. The four-day event will see the city’s streets filled with Roman legions, medieval merchants, baroque nobles, and a host of other historical figures from across the centuries.

The Cered Art Colony, which is 30 years old this year, will celebrate with what they call an ArtPiknik on August 9th. In addition to fine art, visitors will also be treated to local gastro delights, family programs, music concerts and theater productions, Csaba Fürjesi, one of the founders of the art colony, told MTI.
