Greg John Dorey, Former British Ambassador To Hungary

In December 2007 Greg Dorey became British Ambassador to the Republic of Hungary. Greg took up his appointment on 3 December 2007 and presented his credentials to Hungarian President László Sólyom on 5 December. Before his Xpat Interview here are just a few highlights from his CV.

The British Ambassador to Hungary was born in London, in 1951. He was educated at Latymer Upper School, Hammersmith, and then at the University of Surrey, where he graduated with First Class Honours in Linguistic and Regional Studies (German, French and Law) in 1974.

George Herbert Walker III was sworn into that role on 30 September 2003.

David Copp trained in the wine trade in Bordeaux, Burgundy, Champagne, Rhine and Moselle and won a WSET scholarship to study Sherry in Jerez de la Frontera.

Take a ten minute walk or three stops with tram No. 49 or 47 (note the older carriages) to the Deák tér terminal (do not forget to take a look at the beautiful Classicist building of the Hungarian National Museum). Take the yellow subway known as the Millennium Underground and get off at Heroes' Square (Hosök tere).
