Restaurants and hotels are finding it increasingly difficult to keep staff, due to emigration, the report says, citing the example of one restaurant where the entire staff quit overnight, leaving the message: “We have gone to Austria”.

Service centre operator IT Services Hungary will make at least 400 new hires in Hungary this year, Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó said. IT Services Hungary, a member of T-Systems, owned by Deutsche Telekom, employs more than 4,000 people in four cities in Hungary.

Gross Wages In Hungary Up 3.4% In February

Average gross wages in Hungary rose by an annual 3.4% to 234,367 forints (778 euros) in February. Net wages rose at the same pace to 153,511 forints, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) said. Hungarians took home 12,446 forints in bonuses in February, on average, 9.5% more than in the same month a year earlier.
