Richard Rifkin has worked in Hollywood and Europe in the entertainment business for over four decades as an actor, writer, director and teacher. He was also the first American Radio DJ on live radio in English in Eastern/Central Europe on Radio Bridge 102.1 FM in Budapest, Hungary in the early 1990's.

Frederick Sweet was born in New York City of Hungarian parents (both from Budapest) who had immigrated to the United States before World War II. Since Hungarian was spoken at home, Sweet acquired it as a second language.

My husbands' family left Hungary in 1946 after the expropriation of their stately home and settled in Paris where we met at university in 1965, studying political science. I am myself of German origin and was also brought up in Paris. We married, I learned Hungarian.
