The late author Péter Esterházy will be laid to rest on August 2, at his family’s shrine in the church of Ganna, a village in western Hungary. Funeral rites will be administered by Asztrik Várszegi, arch abbot of Pannonhalma. The Hungarian Jászság Folk Ensemble was established in 1971. The members of the group live in Jászberény, which is a town 80 kilometers far from the Hungarian capital city, Budapest. In the beginning of the ’90s, the Csángó Festival was the first to open the doors to the minority cultures of surrounding countries.
