A suitcase once belonged to Imre Nagy was handed over to Katalin Jánosi, Nagy's granddaughter and the Imre Nagy Foundation yesterday, in the presence of Prime Minister Viktor Orbán. It has recently been obtained from Bosnia and Hercegovina and will be kept in the Imre Nagy Memorial House of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences.

Hundreds demonstrated outside the Human Resources Ministry on Wednesday against the inclusion in the school curriculum of works by 20th-century writers Albert Wass, Dezső Szabó and József Nyirő. All three are accused to varying degrees of anti-Semitism, while Wass is considred a war criminal in Romania.
Hungary's Echo TV Cancels Right-Wing Presenters' TV Show

András Bencsik will no longer host a weekly talk show on Echo TV after the station refused to air his programme recorded on Tuesday. Bencsik, editor of the right-wing weekly Magyar Demokrata, told station owner Gábor Széles that he would no longer co-operate in producing the show.

"A dress designed by a young architect sewn from tiny wooden slats inspired by Hungarian folk architecture won the Rethink/re-button! Magyar is the Mode Contest contest invited for the second time by Design Terminal, a background institution of the Ministry of Public Administration and Justice. A record number of 1000 entries were submitted this year.
