A Hungarian-Serbian border crossing on the Tisza river has been inaugurated in Szeged, southern Hungary. Foreign ministry state secretary László Szabó said the government aims to improve infrastructure between Hungary and neighbouring countries. Szabó said there are a total of 100 border crossings in Hungary, sixteen of which have been established since 2010.

Organised by the opposition, the picnic took place at Sopronpuszta close to the Austrian border on this day 25 years ago. The event paved the way for the fall of the Iron Curtain.
