The annual Jewish Cultural Festival will offer a wide selection of music and theatre in Budapest, Pécs and Szombathely between August 30 and September 6 this year. The Irish newspaper The Irish Times has published a list of Budapest’s five best restaurants by the country’s top travel author. Reporting on the open-air Gourmet Festival held in Budapest’s Millenáris Park on the website of one of Ireland’s oldest and most-read newspapers, Fionn Davenport says that you can “eat well in the Hungarian capital no matter what time of year you visit”.

Sony Pictures Classics has acquired US distribution rights to the Hungarian film competing for the Palme d’Or, "Son of Saul". The distribution agreement was signed by the film’s international distributor, Films Distribution, at the Cannes Film Festival, film magazine Variety reported.
