The Kúria ruled on Monday that a person had lost his job as a result of unlawful discrimination because of his sexual orientation, the first such ruling in Hungary, Népszava reports. The plaintiff, a vocational secondary school teacher in Cegléd, said he will not give his name as he fears he may not find a job elsewhere.

"The National Election Commission (OVB) on Saturday ordered LMP to stop offering prizes to activists as part of its drive to collect signatures for a referendum. The OVB said it is illegal to promise gifts to those who collect the most signatures in 24 hours.
