Retail sales in Hungary rose by an annual 5.4 percent in September, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) said in a first reading of data released on Tuesday. Sales growth accelerated from 4.2 percent in July and 4.7 percent in August. The September increase was 6.0 percent when adjusted for calendar-year effects.

Average new home prices rose by 8.2% in the first half of 2017 while the price of resale homes increased 9.3%, according to a summary of data published by the Central Statistical Office (KSH). Industrial producer prices went up by an annual 4.1 percent in September, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) said on Tuesday. Prices for domestic sales were up by 4.8 percent while export prices rose by 3.7 percent. In a month-on-month comparison, industrial producer prices were up by 1.3 percent as domestic prices were up by 0.9 percent while export prices were up by 1.5 percent, KSH said.
