Under the new law slot machines may only be operated in three existing casinos, and catering spots may no longer host them. The Court of the European Union will try the case of Hungarian judges’ retirement in Luxembourg on Monday, Népszava reports. The European Commission (EC) launched infringement proceedings against Hungary early this year, and later turned to the court after failing to reach agreement with the Hungarian government. The court decided in July to take up the case in a fast-track procedure.
