Vehicle Driving Age Limits To Rise In 2013 In Hungary

According to government plans, age limits for truck and bus driving licences would be increased from the present 18 to 21 and 24 respectively. Light motorcycle driving licences will be available only from age 16 and for heavy motorcycles over 50 cm3 from age 24. The new law would take effect on January 1, 2013.

Ten media providers, including Klubradio, were given permits to conclude a provisional contract, the Media Council said. Klubradio was granted a 60-day licence for the tenth time.

The public procurement and supply directorate KEF, a unit of the Development Ministry, has signed framework agreements worth a net Ft 10.5 billion for the purchase of software licences. Of that, Ft 8.5 billion is to be used in public administration and Ft 2 billion for schools and universities.

'The Kúria, Hungary’s supreme court, yesterday voided the 2009 sale of former gas trader Emfesz and declared that its sole owner is the Cyprus-registered Mabofi Holding. The court found that former Emfesz CEO István Góczi had no authorisation to sell the 100% ownership of Mabofi to Swiss registered RosGas on April 28, 2009. Góczi reportedly sold the company for $1.
