Hungarian contemporary author László Krasznahorkai has been granted the lifetime achievement America Awards for 2014, the US literary portal Green Integer said on Thursday. The author of 16 books has received the honour granted since 1994 for a lifetime contribution to international writing.

Jancsó won best director award at the 1972 Cannes film festival for Red Psalm, and, in 1979, Cannes bestowed on him a lifetime achievement award.
