Viktoria, the first film of the talented Bulgarian female writer, Maya Vitkova won the 8000-euros Breaking Waves Award of the 21st Titanic. The three-membered jury led by Hungarian director János Szász gave a special, director’s award to Benedikt Erlingsson for his film, Of Horses and Men. Female Directors At Titanic Film Festival In Budapest

One of the specialities of this year’s Titanic International Film Festival – running between 4-12th April – is that it offers the work of 14 female directors. The jury will also have a female member, Santa Lingeviciute, the Art Director of the Vilnius Film Festival.
Club Akvárium In Budapest Opens On 30 March

1500- and 700-capacity concert halls, music bar, bistro-restaurant and grand terrace: Club Akvárium is all of this in one, opening to the public on March 30 in Erzsébet square, Budapest. On the opening day, symphonic concerts will be presented by Ghymes at 10 AM and Magashegyi Underground at 9 PM.
Balaton Sound Festival Hungary: Early Bird Tickets Almost Sold Out

MasterCard Balaton Sound organizers announced that 98% of the early bird passes have been already sold. Tickets are selling with a record speed this year, so the discounted sales period will end this week. Afterwards only full-priced passes and day tickets will be available, also in a limited number. MasterCard Balaton Sound is held between 10-13 July 2014.
