Sausage Festival In Budapest, 13 - 15 October

This annual festival featuring 250 types of spiced up meat will be held at the Hungarian Railway Museum this year. As well as lots of porky specials available along several 'Sausage Streets', there will be family programs, folklore shows, 'nostalgic music programs' and dance, plus apparently presentations of enormous sausages, during this three day special Hungarian gastro event.

The Hortobágyi palacsinta is a savoury Hungarian pancake, filled with meat (usually veal). The meat is prepared as a stew; minced meat is fried with onions and spices like the pörkölt or the paprikás dish, using, veal, veal with mushrooms, chicken or Hungarian sausage.

Written by Mr. Yuzu. 'BBC' produces the most authentic BBQ in Budapest, in my opinion. This is the only place where you can actually see the red line caused by smoking, on the outer rim of the brisket. Everything is always fresh and comes out hot. I would say the ribs are a bit hit and miss, we’ve had ribs here that were fantastic and a couple times they were really fatty and not that tender.
