Due to national holiday there will be an open day in the House of Parliament. Visitors will have the chance to see the Holy Crown from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on 23rd October 2022. Preliminary registration is not required, the admission is free for all visitors.

To commemorate Hungary’s national holiday on 23 October, the House of Terror Museum will offer a wide range of programmes, including special guided tours, history classes, educational workshops, film screenings, and outdoor exhibitions dedicated to the heroes and victims of the 1956 Revolution and War of Independence.

The 1956 Hungarian Revolution was a spontaneous nationwide revolt against Soviet control, sparked by student protests on October 23. Demanding freedom and independence, Hungarians briefly overthrew the communist regime before Soviet forces crushed the uprising.
