A while back Medián conducted a survey on anti-Semitism in Hungary. It just made its findings public. The document is almost forty pages long, full of tables and graphs, and defies being summarized in a few paragraphs. Here I will concentrate on a couple of areas of the study I personally found interesting and/or significant.
Hungaroring Celebrates Its 30th Birthday

The fact that the Formula 1 race was being organised for the fourth time already in 1989, the year of the political turn, clearly tells what a remarkable pole-position Hungary used to hold among the countries of the former Eastern bloc. The Hungaroring is celebrating its 30th birthday this year and it’s as popular as always, with excellent prospects.

A European funding consortium has established a 5 million euro initiative at the Central European University in Budapest to improve the situation of Roma in all sectors through teaching and research, leadership development, and community outreach, the university said on Tuesday.

The Budapest assembly passed the budget proposed by the municipality leadership. The budget plans for revenue of 228.86 billion forints (EUR 738m) and spending of 313.5 billion with a shortfall of 85.4 billion.
