Recent and new wage hikes in the health-care sector will help Hungary close the pay gap with the other Visegrad Group countries, the state secretary for health care said. The base salary of doctors and pharmacists increased by gross 107,000 forints (EUR 348) from September 1 this year and will rise by another 100,000 forints from November 1, 2017, Zoltán Ónodi-Szűcs said.
