There are many bank holidays, and some extra ‘rest days’ in Hungary this year. As you can see from the easy to read lists below, instead of having one free day in the middle of the work week, Hungarians usually prefer to have long weekends in exchange for a Saturday that would otherwise be a ‘rest day’.

Hungary's annual Valley of Arts Festival is set to host over 1,500 events this year between July 20 and 29. The venues in the north of Lake Balaton are divided among the picturesque villages of Kapolcs, Taliándörögd and Vigántpetend.

This new exhibition explores the, "Rich variety of times, places, uses, and meanings an ethnographic artefact can represent by considering an array of objects of a single type: footwear". On until 30 November.

The American businessman and philanthropist, Richard Field, supported Mária Seres’s movement and then LMP.
