Wizz Air, the largest low-cost airline in Central and Eastern Europe, announced that it carried 13.5 million passengers in 2013, representing growth of 12% year on year, with an average load factor of 86%. The Wizz Air fleet currently consists of 45 Airbus A320 aircraft which will grow to 53 in 2014 with the deliveries of brand new airplanes from Airbus.

Hungarian Széchenyi Bank May Buy Raiffeisen

Austria’s Raiffeisen Bank is considering an offer from Széchenyi Kereskedelmi Bank for Raiffeisen Magyarország, Magyar Hírlap reported without citing sources. The government last year bought a 49% stake in Széchenyi Bank, whose majority owner T&T is controlled by István Töröcskei, head of the state debt manager ÁKK.
