On 15 October, Magyar Broadcasting Co signed a contract with TV2 Media Group Holdings and CEE Broadcasting Holding to purchase a 100% stake in their businesses. Hungary’s film industry commissioner Andy Vajna has signed a contract to buy Hungarian commercial television channel TV2, and, after signing by the sellers, the deal will be announced later this week, figyelo.hu, the website of weekly Figyelő reported. The transaction will require approval by Hungary’s Competition Office, figyelo.hu said.
