St. Margaret’s Anglican Episcopal Church in Budapest is holding its Anniversary Dinner on Saturday, April 29,2017 at 6:30 p.m. at the The Haxen Királyi Étterem, Királyi utca 100, Budapest District VI. Our former pastor, the Reverend Canon Denis Moss will be guest of honour and speaker. The date being celebrated is the 25th anniversary of St. Margaret’s becoming licensed as a church in Hungary.
Titanic International Film Festival In Budapest, 6 - 13 April

Organisers say this festival connects the world by bringing films from 27 nations to Budapest. The eight-day long 24th Titanic International Film Festival will present 34 fresh, all said to be 'exciting and must-see movies'.

President János Áder presented Hungary’s state orders as well as the prestigious Kossuth and Széchenyi prizes to recognise public personalities, artists and scientists on the occasion of the anniversary of the 1848 revolution in Parliament. In his address to the awardees, the president highlighted their achievements, which he said could “motivate many to come up with better results”.

Former ombudsman László Majtényi, whose name has recently been suggested by a civil group as a possible candidate for Hungary’s next president, called that gesture an honour but said that the nomination was up to the national assembly.
