Hungarian-born physicist Ferenc Krausz and French physicists Pierre Agostini and Anne L’Huillier won the Nobel Prize in Physics “for experimental methods that generate attosecond pulses of light for the study of electron dynamics in matter”, the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences announced.

Hungarian-born biochemist Katalin Karikó and American physician-scientist Drew Weissman have been awarded the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine, the secretary of the Nobel Assembly announced in Stockholm.

Hungary’s state secretary for higher education has signed a three-year education exchange programme with the Israeli education ministry. The programme running until 2019 will give increased focus to education on the Holocaust in Hungary, László Palkovics told MTI on Sunday.
