Csárda & Kéknyelű: Traditional Hungarian Inn & Rare Grape Variety Declared Hungarikums

Hungary’s Committee for Hungarikums has recently added two new treasures to its prestigious national register: the csárda, a traditional Hungarian inn, and Badacsony kéknyelű, a rare native grape variety grown exclusively in the Lake Balaton region. These are now officially recognised as Hungarikums – exceptional elements of Hungary’s cultural and gastronomic heritage.

The British Embassy in Budapest will work compressed summer hours between Monday, 1 July 2013 and Friday, 30 August 2013. The opening hours during this period will be Monday to Thursday, 8am to 4:30pm, Friday, 8am to 1pm.
