The Administration Ministry ruled last month that the tenants’ use of the premises is not consistent with World Heritage requirements, and transferred the operating rights of the facilities to the state asset manager MNV.

The building was the former location of the American International School of Budapest who have been Britannica’s landlords for more than three years. The amount of the sale was not disclosed.
