One week, 19 concerts, 14 towns, thousands of people. Following its community week in June, the Budapest Festival Orchestra again intends to give free concerts all around the country, taking music to people who rarely get to concert halls or have never been to a classical music concert.

When it comes to giving, it is said that it is better to give than to receive. This is exactly what the NAWA have been doing a lot of recently. I went along to two events that they were hosting. The first was in a long line of events called “Adopt a Granny” and the other was a gift exchange.

145 billion forints will be spent on public employment next year, the goal is to provide work for 300 thousand people in 2013 and 2014 – said Sándor Pintér, Minister of Interior on Friday in Budapest at the celebratory event held in order to praise the work of those local governments that have performed exceptionally well in organizing and realizing public employment programs.
