Imre Bukta’s thematic exhibition combines new installations and board paintings with the former, emblematic works of his oeuvre. The exhibited works focus on such issues as the transformation of traditions, the alienation of nature, the decay of built heritage, the crisis of moral values, and the often desperate, day to day struggles of socially marginalized people.

Hungary's law on the early retirement of judges is discriminatory, the Luxembourg Court of Justice ruled on Tuesday. Hungary had been challenged over the law to reduce the retirement age for judges to 62 from 70 by the European Commission.

The Zalaegerszeg Labour Court on Thursday struck down as unlawful the forced early retirement of a judge by the president of Hungary and the Kaposvár Court. The court reinstated the judge, aged 62, in her position in Kaposvár, after she was dismissed in July because of her age. Her dismissal was to take effect October 1.
