Road Haulage Tracking And Electronic Tills Boost Govt Revenue By HUF 420BN

The introduction of an electronic road haulage tracking system and the mandatory connection of tills to the tax office have raised the Hungarian state’s revenue by 420 billion forints (EUR 1.35bn) over two years, the economy ministry said. The road haulage tracking system and electronic tills have not only raised direct tax revenues, they have also boosted revenues from excise fees and fines.

The Szabadság bridge will be closed to public transport and road traffic from June 16 to August 28, due to renovation work, the Budapest Transport Centre BKK announced at the weekend.
