PISA: Hungarian Students Below Average In Problem-Solving

Hungarian students perform worse than average in the area of collaborative problem-solving, according to the 2015 PISA international assessment of educational attainment. In the OECD report released on Tuesday, Hungarian students had 472 points on this score, below the OECD average of 500 points.

The education reform the government has started will not be “essentially affected” by the poor results achieved by Hungarian students in the PISA test, but several points must be reviewed, education state secretary László Palkovics said in an interview published in daily Magyar Idők.

The Vera and Donald Blinken Open Society Archives invited young composers to enter the music competition based on the exhibition, Some Kind of Opposition… by Axel Braun. The selected scores will be performed in the framework of the concert entitled, Some Music, Something Else. The concert will be the closing event of the exhibition.
