Retailers could be seriously hurt by changes to the advertisement tax, especially in the consumer goods segment, the National Association of Retailers (OKSZ) reported. The consumer goods market is extremely price sensitive and both retailers and suppliers have a vested interest in curbing price rises, the OKSZ said in a statement.

The number of chain-smokers in Hungary has increased, reports Hungarian newspaper Magyar Nemzet. According to the data provided by the Central Statistical Office, while the number of cigarette smokers decreased from 31 percent in 2009 to 29 percent in 2014, the number of chain-smokers increased in 2014 to 28 percent of all smokers from 27 percent in 2009.
