A more ambitious and committed agreement could emerge from the Paris climate summit “if we raise our voices against the pollution that causes climate change,” President János Áder told a press conference, announcing a new website dedicated to the issue. The president said no further proof was required to show that climate change and global warming were key social and political issues.

The current conditions endured by nurses in Hungary are untenable, Gábor Vona, the radical nationalist Jobbik party’s leader, told a congress of nurses. After attending the meeting of the Hungarian Nursing Association, Vona told a news conference that the reality of the problems is visible from demonstrations in the health-care sector, especially on the part of nurses.

Earlier, in 1987, she was twenty when she recorded The Lion and the Cobra, one of the most powerful debut albums of the age. The shaved-headed maverick of a singer was pregnant with her first child as she recorded the viscerally ingenious songs, which she also produced.
