The “humiliating defeat” of the Hungarian national football team by the amateur players from the tiny Principality of Andorra has prompted a nationwide uproar. One might retort that football is just a game and there is no guarantee that teams considered to be inferior always lose and the better ones always win. Why all the fuss?

The community of The British International School Budapest came together to celebrate the graduation of its Class of 2017 last Saturday at the Intercontinental Budapest. The event was attended by over 250 students, parents, teachers and guests, including Dr Michael Ignatieff PC CM, President and Rector of CEU, and Her Britannic Majesty’s Ambassador Iain Lindsay OBE (pictured below).

The Hungarian government’s bill on the transparency of foreign-funded civil groups pursues legitimate aims but imposes excessive obligations on NGOs and flags disproportionate sanctions, the Venice Commission said in a preliminary opinion on the bill.

PayPal is extending its Seller Protection program in Hungary, covering sellers with the full amount of their payment on eligible sales in cases of unauthorized payment, such as a hacked account or a buyer claiming not to have received an item ordered, according to a press statement sent to the Budapest Business Journal.
