The Hungarian government has been actively recruiting new citizens from the neighboring countries, presumably to add to their vote total at the next national election. In order to be eligible for citizenship a person must have at least one ancestor who was a Hungarian citizen. He must also have some knowledge of the Hungarian language.

Britannica International School, a British style international school for pupils aged 5-18, has announced the acquisition of the freehold of the building it occupies at Kakukk u. 1-3. Budapest. The building was the former location of the American International School of Budapest who have been Britannica’s landlords for more than three years. The amount of the sale was not disclosed.
