A while back Medián conducted a survey on anti-Semitism in Hungary. It just made its findings public. The document is almost forty pages long, full of tables and graphs, and defies being summarized in a few paragraphs. 41.5 percent of Hungarians are living on the edge of poverty according to a study released by Policy Agenda, a political consultancy. The study was sponsored by the Association of Hungarian Unions (MaSzSz) and the Friedrich Ebert Foundation.

The news website cites a recent study by the University of Oxford’s Migration Observatory in which the research center found that the number of Hungarians migrants living in the United Kingdom has almost doubled since 2011 (one year after the Orbán government returned to power).

Budapest has submitted the first part of its application to host the 2024 Olympic Games to the International Olympic Committee, Balázs Fürjes, the government commissioner for the bid, announced. The application was submitted on Tuesday, one day before the official deadline. Hungary’s parliament voted in July to support the Hungarian capital’s bid to host the 2024 event.
