Miklós Ybl was born on April 6th, 1814 in a wealthy trading family in Székesfehérvár. From 1825 he studied in the Imperial and Royal Polytechnique Institute. From 1832 he worked and studied at two famous Hungarian architects Mihály Pollack and Henrik Koch.

MikulásGyár is open between 9 and 19 December (10am to 10pm) in 2010 for the sixth time at Felvonulási Tér to collect donations in order to offer a Merrier Xmas for 200.000 children. Helping needy families and children is the plan in 2010 as well at this 10-day-long humanitarian event.

The works of scribes, various writing materials and mediums, the artistry of codex illustration, the migration of codices and the characteristics of medieval reading are presented.
