A crowd of bogus politicians and mercenary parties have emerged out of nowhere, Gordon Bajnai, head of the opposition E14-PM alliance, told locals in Szentendre, a town just outside Budapest. Bajnai said there were a number of parties on ballot papers whose appearance would confuse voters, increasing the likelihood of votes going astray.

Thanks to the Hungarian Ministry of Interior and the European Integration Fund (EIA/2012/1.1.1) more and more third country nationals are able to learn and speak Hungarian, to integrate and find a job easier after completing the free Hungarian courses offered at Tudomány Language School.

Due to the popularity of the last Pilis hike and the sheer enjoyment of crossing streams, sloshing along muddy paths, and clumping up steep embankments, we’ve decided to go back, this time taking a different route (yet to be decided). We will possibly end up at the same restaurant Kis Rigo, in any case it's a 10 am start on Sunday from Batthany tér HEV downstairs at the ticket office.

The Hungarian State Folk Ensemble is touring the United States; there will be a concert to help elderly musicians who are stewards of traditions; a new full-size program featuring dances from Sub-Carpathia will be compiled; and decision has been made to expand the Museum of Applied Folk Art. We have interviewed László Kelemen, director-general of the Hungarian Heritage House in Budapest.

There are currently three operating casinos in the country, two in Budapest and one in Sopron. Eleven other cities – Győr, Debrecen, Szombathely, Pécs, Szeged, Miskolc, Nyíregyháza, Szentendre, Hévíz, Gyula, and Balatonfüred – are also planning on opening casinos, says business daily Világgazdaság. The only new member on the list is Gyula, as the other cities have previously operated casinos.
