From April to May 2016, the Embassy of Canada in Budapest was home to a moving student-made art exhibit that creatively communicated the importance of human rights and the value of diversity. The exhibit, consisting of 10 art pieces and 3D installations, was the collective output of over 200 students, who participated in a project to promote tolerance and inclusion through media and education.

Retail sales in Hungary grew by 5.5% in March from the same month a year earlier, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) confirmed in a second reading of data. Retail sales rose by an annual 4.2%, adjusted for calendar year effects. The pace slowed from an unadjusted 6.7% and a calendar year-adjusted 6.6% rise in February. A Hungarian delegation travelling with Foreign state secretary László Szabó in Brazil has met with the head of a big local meat company and recommended that aircraft maker Embraer set up a maintenance base in Hungary. Szabó said that the meat industry magnate, whose company supplies about 10,000 restaurants in Brazil, could support the import of Hungarian mangalitsa pork to Brazil.
