Ádám Susánszky and Eszter Csanda began with their first food truck three years ago, and they have built a small chain by today. Visitors can expect to view more than 200 vehicles at this year’s international truck country festival in Sziksósfürdő and Szeged, in southern Hungary, over the weekend, the organiser of the event said. Drivers will arrive with their trucks from Austria, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands, Romania and Serbia at the festival organised for the 26th time, Attila Ágoston said.

Trucks on their way to Austria have formed a 12km tailback at Hegyeshalom due to ad-hoc checks by Austrian authorities, a spokesman for regional police in north-western Hungary said on Tuesday afternoon.

The Budapest Pride march was held for the 21st year in the capital on Saturday afternoon. The march ended in front of Parliament with speeches and concerts. Pride spokesperson Cintia Karlik thanked everyone for attending and for choosing “active participation, freedom and equality in law instead of fear”.

Not all expats know about the opportunity to enjoy a day or two at the races most weekends, as Kincsem Park hosts harness racing on the Saturday and flat racing on the Sunday.
