The eventual opening of Budapest’s fourth metro line depends more on legal rather than technical questions, mayor Istvan Tarlos told M1 TV. Tarlos said legal problems and extra demands have emerged from contracts concluded six to seven years ago, which tend to jeopardise the opening of the metro line.

The number of state-financed students cannot be less than 55,000 next year, government spokesman Andras Giro-Szasz announced on Wednesday, adding that at least Ft 24 billion more will be spent on higher education.
