This 'Festival of Nine Lessons & Carols' was popularized at King’s College, Cambridge, by the then Dean Eric Milner-White in the early part of the twentieth century. The music at the very first service in Cambridge in 1918 was directed by Arthur Henry Mann. The service was first broadcast by the BBC in 1928.

The original Finnish Santa Claus will come to Hungary for the 17th time this December. Santa Claus, or Joulupukki as Finns call him, flies in all the way from the Lappish town of Rovaniemi (via a Finnair plane and so not with Rudolph).
