Gay rights activists on Saturday afternoon staged a demonstration against what they call the scandalous decree passed by the local council of Ásotthalom, which bans burqas, the construction of mosques and any “act that does not recognise marriage (between man and woman) as the basis of family ties, and which recognises (the traditional) parent-child relationship”.

The MNB announced that it has recently spent Ft 353 million on buying five Hungarian artworks as part of its art collection programme. The MNB announced a €100 million programme to buy Hungarian art in foreign ownership in January 2014. The programme is expected to run until the end of 2018.
