Approximately half a million visitors take the official tour of the House of Parliament every year. Tours start at the underground Visitor Centre in the northern part of Kossuth Square. Visually and physically impaired visitors start the group tour of the House of Parliament from this handicapped-accessible complex, where the ticket office and information booth are also located.

Several media outlets have reported that the American Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) have issued a warning to American tourists about the consumption of tap water in Hungary. However, the director of Alföldvíz Attila Rung claims there is nothing wrong with the water in Hungary, its quality is checked constantly in accredited laboratories and it is perfectly safe.
