The president said no further proof was required to show that climate change and global warming were key social and political issues.

Climate change could result in unforeseeable waves of migration, President János Áder said in a lecture about environmental sustainability and climate change at a university campus in Szarvas, in southeast Hungary. He said the Earth’s population has risen from 2 billion in 1900 to around 7.5 billion by now and it is expected to increase by 2 billion by 2050.
