During the past decade and more, the Budapest Burns Supper has grown from very humble beginnings to become one of the major events of the capital's farsang ball season. Along the way, it has raised tens of millions of forints to help sick Hungarian children.

100s of Xpats joined-in and we all raised HUF 333,000 for the 'Red Nose ClownDoctors'. Here's feedback from people you may know: "Congrats on the success of this charity event. 150 guests enjoyed Scottish culture at its best on Saturday 25 November, including The Shott and Dykehead Caledonia Pipe Band, many times 'world champions' who came over from Scotland with 4 drummers and 3 pipers thanks to Tesco.

This charity networking event for the international community in Hungary was held by XpatLoop with the support of Zwack Unicum and Herend Porcelain - all entrance fees were donated in their entirety to the UNICEF Tsunami appeal.
