• National Gallop, Heroes Square Budapest, 18 - 20 September

    The biggest equestrian festival in Hungary is arranged every year in Budapest in a most beautiful environment at the majestic Heroes Square. The first National Gallop was arranged in 2008 and it has since then become a popular event with lots of Hungarian culture, crowds of people and action filled horse races at the 6200m2 horse track at the Heroes Square.

    The three performers, slouching around a construction yard of corrugated iron, wooden boards and propane cylinders, play out their boredom in a gradually escalating series of games – or not games really, nor stunts, but actions of escalating danger as they pass idle time by balancing the cylinders and boards atop one another, ever higher. Tense and funny in a deadbeat way which by the end manages to indirectly express a lot about the motivations and pressures between the three characters.

  • Brave Warrior 2015 Military Exercise Starts In NW Hungary

    An international military exercise codenamed Brave Warrior 2015 started in Győr, in northwest Hungary, with Hungarian and US soldiers crossing the Moson branch of the River Danube on Thursday. The exercise will run through October 21. The opening event was visited by US Ambassador in Hungary Colleen Bell, Defence Ministry state secretary Tamás Vargha and deputy commander of the US’s 4th Infantry Division Timothy J. Daugherty.

    Armed migrants attacked the Röszke 2 border crossing station and broke in the fence on Wednesday afternoon; people attempting to forcibly enter Hungarian territory at the scene are being held back by a police cordon, the Government Spokesperson said at a press conference held on location at 5:30pm yesterday evening.

The Red Army Choir MVD Ensemble is an official academic ensemble of the Ministry of the Interior of the Russian Federation. Established in 1939, the ensemble carries on the tradition of choirs and ballets of the Soviet Red Army, with singers, musicians and dancers. The MVD Ensemble and Alexandrov Ensemble are the only groups with the right to claim the title "Red Army Choir.
