    Press release: This year the cream of the 'Hungarian masters and craftsmen' scene will move in to the Buda Castle for the 29th time. At this Festival of Folk Arts 2015 between the 20th and 23rd of August, for four days the focus will be on the life of shepherds. The main goal of the festival has remained the same for nearly three decades: to present very rare but still active crafts that exist thanks to creative minds and hardworking people from the past. Talking about creativity, one of the most ancient crafts, the pastoral life is a great example; profession and lifestyle at the same time, since ancient times.

  • Famous World Travellers On Margaret Island In Budapest

    This August, the adventures of two famous world travellers are reproduced in the form of spectacular dance shows at the Open-Air Theatre on Margaret Island. The story of the Hungarian world traveller and memorial writer Móric Benyovszky, will be presented by the Hungarian National Dance Ensemble on 14 August to the music of the Ghymes band, while on 26-27 August, the authentic music and dances of the Hohhot Performing Arts Group from Mongolia will recall the travels of Marco Polo in China.

    Major Lazer is an electronic music group created by record producer Diplo, with current members Jillionaire and Walshy Fire. Initially the English DJ and producer Switch was part of the group. However, he and the remaining members parted ways in late 2011. Their music spans numerous genres, usually fusing reggae and dancehall music with dance genres such as moombahton and electro house.

    Kraftklub were founded in 2009, when rapper Felix Brummer (who went by the alias Bernd Bass back then) teamed up with rock band Neon Blocks to record a number of songs mixing indie rock and German-language rap. The lineup included drummer Max Marschk, guitarist Steffen Israel, singer/guitarist Karl Schumann, and bassist Till Brummer (Felix's brother and actually named Kummer, as both Till and Felix are the sons of Jan Kummer from avant-garde band AG Geige).
